Happy New Year everyone. Big thanks to anyone and everyone who has supported my photography over the past 12 months either through a like or a comment, a calendar or print purchase. Your support is very much appreciated. Friday night saw a range of storm cells heading across Port Phillip Bay which resulted in a pretty impressive light and sound show for several hours. The smoke haze from a range of fires across Victoria produced the orange colouration to the sky. Here are a couple of my favourites so far.

Happy Friday Those that have been around this page for a while will now that I really like to photograph the bookends of the day. Which tends to produce darker moodier images that often feature intense colours. But a recent print customer inquiry has got me thinking 'What would people actually put on their walls?' Scroll through the images and let me know which you prefer, dark and intense or light and neutral?

It's been a while. Tomorrow is going to be a full moon so the tides this week have been on the larger size which gave me an opportunity to do some exploring at one of my favourite sunrise haunts. It did not disappoint. According to Instagram its been 17 weeks since I posted a photo which means we are long overdue for a game of (get your game show voices on) "Which do you prefer? 1 2 or 3" --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Prints available on the website - robdanielimages.com.au Shot with Canon 5D MkIV - 16-35mm Long Exposure: NISI 3 Stop ND + Soft GND 32 + Benro IFOTO Tripod

Good luck or Good Management. Well sometimes its a little bit of both. I always try and compose my frames so that there is some interest in the photo other than the bolts themselves in case there is nothing much on offer. Sometimes Mother Nature turns it on and you get both. These are probably my three favourite photos from the night of storms earlier in the month. Can you do me a favour and rate them in order of preference? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Prints available on the website - robdanielimages.com Shot with Canon 5D MkIV - 16-35mm Benro IFOTO Tripod

How much is not enough? We were finally blessed with some decent storm action in Melbourne town last weekend and the planets aligned and I went in search of some good compositions with the approaching storms. I know storm photography is not everyone's favourite subject but it just happens to be mine. Having said that, the resultant images can still be processed in different ways. So my question for you today is 'Foreground light, does it add to the image or distract? Which do you prefer 1,2,or 3? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Prints available on the website - robdanielimages.com Shot with Canon 5D MkIV - 16-35mm Benro IFOTO Tripod

How simple is too simple Last night I saw a band of high cloud approaching from the north and grabbed my gear and headed to one of my favourite bunch of rocks only for the clouds to runaway as the sun descended beneath the horizon. Happy Winter Solstice - Today is the shortest day of the year and whilst its a bit cold and rainy there is light at the end of the tunnel. What started off as a pretty gloomy dawn changed all of a sudden when this crazy window opened in the clouds to reveal this predawn colour. The race was on and I rushed around to get a couple of shots before it disappeared again and the gloom returned. Do you have a favourite, more jetty or less: 1, 2 or 3? ------------------------------------------------------------------- Shot with Canon 5D MkIV - 16-35mm Long Exposure: NISI 3 Stop ND + Soft GND 32 + Benro IFOTO Tripod Prints Available on the website
